Lefteris Klouvatos was born and raised in Athens where he lives until today.
He has a degree in Business Administration and for several years he worked in his family business, which he abandoned in order to focus exclusively on his great love of painting.

Since his teenage years he had a special passion and love for the art of painting which he cultivated by visiting museums and art exhibitions. In the museums he came in contact with the great painters and their masterpieces, the history of art, studied styles , various artistic styles and materials.

In his first steps he experimented on the works of great painters, copying many of them with eloquent fidelity. Later he began to create paintings exclusively of his own compositions with a variety of themes.
The main sources of his artistic expression are Greek Mythology and the sea.
His paintings are mainly monumental in size and his visual language is realistic with a surprising obsession with detail and colour combination.
Since he is self-taught his works are governed by a particular originality in both subject matter and form.
From 2009 to the present day he has been a close collaborator of the miniaturist Evangelos Grypiotis, whose works form an important part of the artist's artistic inspiration.
