Always Here - OFI 1925-2026

A fan stands before his city. You cannot see his face - you see yourself.

The jersey he wears shifts gradually from one side to the other. On the left, OFI's first kit, the one worn by bodies on dusty pitches and makeshift fields. On the right, the modern one. The transition happens within the same body, seamlessly, without interruption. One person. Two eras. The same passion.

In the background, the port of Heraklion at night. The Venetian fortress stands in the distance like the club itself, a symbol of endurance. Light reflects off the water and around it the crowd is not painted as faces but as a mass of energy. A tide. Smoke. Light.

The palette is exclusively black, white and grey. A single thin blue line runs horizontally along the bottom of the canvas, carrying 1925 at one end and 2026 at the other. A century of history condensed into one line - and a reminder that it is not over.

The work was commissioned by the Hellenic Football Federation on the occasion of the 2026 Betsson Greek Cup Final. Works from the "Always Here" series can be commissioned by clubs and by supporters who choose to honour their team in this way. Each work is unique, tailored to the landscape, the years and the identity of the club it represents, yet it belongs to the same language: a devotion that needs no explanation - it simply exists.
