“Always Here” is a work about a devotion that needs no explanation - it simply exists. A fan stands before his city, the crowd around him painted not as faces but as a mass of energy. The jersey he wears shifts gradually from the club’s first kit to the modern one, within the same body, without interruption. A single thin line runs along the bottom of the canvas, carrying the founding year at one end and the year the work was created at the other. What has been and what continues.

About the Artist

John Bartsokas

John Bartsokas is a visual artist based in Athens, where he was born and continues to live and create. From an early age, painting became an inseparable part of his life and a vital means of expression. His studies in graphic design expanded his creative vocabulary and helped shape his distinctive artistic identity.

His work spans a wide range of media and surfaces — from large-scale murals and graffiti to canvas works and custom paintings on shoes, garments, and everyday objects. Through this multifaceted practice, Bartsokas transforms urban spaces and daily items into vibrant carriers of art and individuality.

A highlight of his career was his collaboration with Converse for the international “Create Your Own” campaign, where he infused his artistic vision into personalized designs, bridging the worlds of art and fashion.

He has participated in numerous solo and group exhibitions as well as contemporary art competitions, earning recognition for his originality and consistency. His artworks are distinguished by vivid color, symbolic imagery, and a distinctive synthesis of street culture and visual storytelling.
